Project Officer-GOAL& SAMANA/ Fixed Term
The purpose of this position is to lead on and providing good project management, technical input the area of protection and education through successful execution of GOAL and SAMANA Project in Udayapur.

The position is responsible for the project management, developing and delivering a comprehensive quarterly and annual technical support plan for the project. The role is responsible for periodic plan, preparation of periodic reports, sectoral coordination in district, and rolling out all necessary technical tools, quality benchmarks and guidance materials to support quality project Implementation.The role provides support and backstopping for external relationship building and engagement with government line agencies, district level partners and donors for issues around protection and education.
This position is basedinWVIN’s working district in Udayapur and will require frequent travel to project sites. Additionally, this position is expected to support Field Program Lead to make sure the quality programmatic intervention, portfolio management and ensuring all partnership/ donor compliance and Portfolio Advisors-Protection and Education to strengthen the external engagement & developing different tools/ guidelines/resources for capacity building on education and protection.
Requirements Include:
Technical knowledge on education and protection related programming.
Teambuilding, collaboration, facilitation and leadership skills
Understanding programme logic, programme design, and programme cycle including project planning, design, monitoring, and evaluation.
Demonstratedhighcapacity to coordinate effectively and build strong working relationships with stakeholders
Good problem-solving skills.
Good analytical skills; ability to critically analyze results data and recommend programme improvements
Good writing skills and ability to write/edit reports, case stories and success stories.
Experience in developing project designs including log frames, detailed implementation plans and budget vs expenditure.
Experience of coordinating teams and PNGOstaff
Experience in preparing and leading training workshops
Work experience with an INGO/NGO
At least Bachelor’s degree on social science (social work, education, psychology, sociology, etc) Master’s degree on education or relevant subject with 2 years’ experience focused on education preferred
